Questo \u00e8 un importante vantaggio della tecnologia, perch\u00e9 riduce i costi e la possibilit\u00e0 di guasti. Se in una citt\u00e0 di grandi dimensioni coperta in FTTC sono presenti centinaia di apparati attivi (ONU) sparsi sulle strade, in FTTH-GPON gli unici elementi che l&#8217;operatore si deve preoccupare di alimentare sono le centrali\/POP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-gpon-la-tecnologia-attualmente-utilizzata-in-italia-per-realizzare-reti-ftth\"><strong>GPON \u00e8 la tecnologia attualmente utilizzata in Italia per realizzare reti FTTH.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Una rete ottica passiva (come la GPON) \u00e8 di tipo&nbsp;punto-multipunto. Il &#8220;punto&#8221; \u00e8 un apparato dell&#8217;operatore (<strong>OLT<\/strong>,&nbsp;<em>Optical Line Terminal<\/em>), che spesso si trova nella centrale locale, mentre i &#8220;multipunto&#8221; sono dei dispositivi installati all&#8217;interno delle abitazioni dei clienti (ONT&nbsp;oppure&nbsp;<em>UN<\/em>, respectively&nbsp;<em>Optical Network Terminal<\/em>&nbsp;And&nbsp;<em>Optical Network Unit<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nel caso di GPON, un singolo OLT \u00e8 in grado di collegare per ciascun cavo in fibra ottica in uscita&nbsp;un numero di utenze che pu\u00f2 arrivare al massimo a 128. Questo numero determina il&nbsp;<em>splitting factor<\/em>&nbsp;(or&nbsp;<em>branching factor<\/em>, in Italian).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un OLT pu\u00f2 avere anche centinaia di porte, e ciascuna di queste realizza un&nbsp;albero ottico&nbsp;alla cui estremit\u00e0 \u00e8 collegato un numero di utenze pari al fattore di splitting.&nbsp;La velocit\u00e0 di 2,5 \/ 1,25 Gbps prevista da GPON \u00e8 condivisa tra tutte le utenze che fanno capo allo stesso albero&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-100-pz-borchia-ottica-open-fiber-rertech\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rertech.it\/en\/product\/100-pz-borchia-ottica-open-fiber-copia\/\">100 pcs: Open Fiber Optic Socket | RERTECH<\/a><\/h3>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La caratteristica fondamentale che rende GPON la soluzione pi\u00f9 frequentemente adottata per la FTTH \u00e8 il fatto che&nbsp;la rete ottica \u00e8 passiva, e cio\u00e8 che tra i due estremi della rete (centrale e abitazioni) non sono presenti punti alimentati.
