The sector studies the planning, design, construction (hardware and software) and operation of equipment, systems and infrastructures for applications aimed at transferring signals via cable (copper or fibre), via radio (terrestrial or satellite) or other means of propagation, <\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Using specific technologies such as optical and mobile communications; processing of single- and multidimensional signals for filtering, redundancy reduction, synthesis, and information extraction; pattern recognition for semantic interpretation of the information content of signals and images; network interconnection for information transport and the use of interactive\/distributive services, within applications such as telematics; and remote sensing for the localization\/identification of fixed\/moving objects in air, sea, and land traffic control and environmental monitoring. This includes basic aspects (theory of random phenomena, information, codes, signals, traffic, protocols, etc.) and the systems\/technological skills essential for a professional with the technical and organizational capabilities to cost-effectively solve relevant problems and contribute to the scientific and technological evolution of the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
